Nathaniel Hunt originally from Glen Burnie, MD graduated summa cum laude with a BFA in Dance from Long Island University - Brooklyn. He studied under scholarship at The Ailey School, Earl Mosley’s Institute for the Arts, and Joffrey Ballet School. Nathaniel is a recipient of a Maryland Distinguished Scholar of the Arts award and the Award for Excellence in the Arts Program from the National Society of Arts and Letters (in association with The Kennedy Center). His choreographic and guest artist teaching highlights include Bucknell University, Adaptations Dance Theater, Santa Fe College, and Maui Performing Arts Academy. He has been a member of Ailey II, Ballet Hispanico, Company XIV, Adaptations Dance Theater, Diversity of Dance, Zvidance, MBDance; and is currently performing with the Metropolitan Opera. He recently choreographed an original work for Peabody Preparatory at John Hopkins as well as created, mentored, and choreographed for the first All County Dance Performance Ensemble for Howard County Public School System. Nathaniel continues to perform diverse repertory, educate aspiring dancers, and create innovative work that strives to inspire, encourage, and connect with many audiences worldwide.
